My son and I LOVE this dish! I always make broccoli to go with it, but usually in a separate dish. I toss the florets in olive oil, coarse salt, and pepper, and then top them exactly like the chicken and bake at the same time. My 14 year old loves the taste and likes this crispy broccoli.
Julia
So happy to hear that! I love crispy broccoli - it tastes so good!

I made this tonight for dinner and it was super easy! It had a lot of flavor and was pretty darn good except for I'm wondering if I should have left the bacon bits uncooked and let the oven do the work because they were a little overdone with the cheese on top but otherwise so good!
Julia
I am so glad you liked it! I usually cook my bacon not overly crispy - I cook it until it's cooked but still soft, which works well for this recipe, as the bacon continues to cook on top of the chicken.
Elisa
Absolutely delicious and super easy! I use garlic salt instead of regular salt
Debbie

Could you make this with cut up chicken breasts and just mix it up with the cheeses? I have precut chicken breast defrosted and was hoping it could work!
Julia
Yes, the recipe should work! You might have to adjust the cooking time.
