How Many Emails Can You Expect Per Week?
- I send a weekly newsletter on Saturdays or Sundays, which includes a Weekly Meal Plan (7 dinners + 3 healthy salads) and updates on any new recipes published that week. Both the meal plan and the newsletter are free, just like everything else on my website. I also provide a brief look into my daily life, often featuring my hiking adventures in Colorado and other outdoor activities. You can learn more about my cooking philosophy on my ABOUT page.
- Recipe round-ups. Additionally, I regularly send out recipe round-ups based on seasonal or other themes, such as "10 Best Apple Recipes for Fall", “10 Best Shrimp Recipes” or “7 Easy Sheet Pan Recipes.”
- If you're using Gmail, be sure to check your Promotions folder, as my emails may end up there. You can move my emails to your Primary folder to ensure you don’t miss them.
- The e-mail subscription is 100% free and you can unsubscribe at any time using the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email. You can also re-subscribe whenever you like!
- I prune my email list three times a year, removing subscribers who haven’t opened or clicked on any emails in the last 90 days. This keeps your inbox uncluttered and helps me maintain a manageable list. It's a win-win situation for both you and me. You can always re-subscribe later or sign up for specific seasonal email series.
- How to UNSUBSCRIBE? At the bottom of all my e-mails is the Unsubscribe link - scroll all the way down to the bottom of an e-mail and click on it - you will be unsubscribed!
What Kind of Recipes Can You Expect?
- I focus on cooking with seasonal ingredients. For example, in the Fall, you'll find plenty of recipes featuring butternut squash, spaghetti squash, apples, and pumpkin. In the Winter, I highlight healthier recipes along with comforting dishes. During the Summer, I love incorporating tomatoes, basil pesto, asparagus, peaches, plums, cherries, and other seasonal veggies and fruits.
- From a nutritional standpoint, most of my recipes are protein-based, with many being gluten-free, low-carb, and keto-friendly. I also enjoy creating delicious pasta dishes and refreshing salads.
SAVE YOUR FAVORITE RECIPES in one convenient spot on my site (create a RECIPE BOX)
- Save your favorite recipes to your RECIPE BOX. Click on a HEART in the lower right corner of any recipe TO SAVE it, and it will appear here. Click on the TAG next to the heart icon to access your FAVORITES.
- Create an account to find your saved favorites by clicking on the saved tag next to the heart, or click the magnifying glass (search function).

Hi Julia, I can hardly wait to try your basic bread recipe. I grew up in Longmont ,Colo. I live in San Diego, Ca to help my parents. My bread always turns out heavy & hard. I will E- mail you how your recipe turns out. Colorado will always be my home. Thankyou
Julia
Hi Ann! I totally understand where you're coming from. I also travel a lot including to visit and help my family, but my heart is always here in Colorado. If you decide to give that bread recipe a try, feel free to leave a comment right below the recipe on the site!
Cathy
Is there a way to organize the recipes I have saved, so if i save many of them, i will be able to find them easily?
Julia
Hi Cathy! Currently, there isn’t a way to organize favorites—they’re all saved together under FAVORITES. I hope this functionality will be added in the near future.
