Very good! Quick and easy!
Just made this today, it’s great and a win. Subbed onions instead of mushrooms. Added parmesan/romano shredded cheese around the casserole pan before adding the mozzarella cheese on top, I used mozzarella pieces to make the cheese topping a little thicker. Use a great marinara sauce and you’ll end up drinking it like I did.
Can you cook the spaghetti a little bit and put it under the chicken then put it back in the oven and? Then melt the cheese on top of the chicken.
Yes, you can! I think it’s an excellent idea! There is enough sauce in the recipe for the spaghetti.
I tried this recipe and loved it! I did add some breadcrumbs to the chicken and some fresh basil to the oil mixture. Cooking time was longer than the recipe indicated but the cuts I had were thick. Served it with pasta and it was sensational. The cold leftovers are yummy too! Thank you! This will definitely be a “go to” when I’m short on time!
Anastasia, thank you so much for such helpful and positive feedback! Glad you liked the recipe! Serving this over pasta sounds delicious! 🙂
I made this today and would not really follow the instructions completely as told.
Chicken has to be cooked seasoned completely and then you can put the cheese, mushrooms and sauce and have it in the oven for another few minutes just until cheese gets melted, other ice cheese will over dry and sauce will get different taste as well with it.
Also,I could not find what temperature to use while cooking it in the oven?
30 minutes? The chicken, which was thin sliced even, was completely raw even at 35 minutes following this recipe.

Whole family loved it. Definitely a keeper!
Thank you, I did mine with mushrooms, green, yellow, red, and orange peppers, it came out real good
*I meant fresh mushrooms above in my comment*
Do you sauté the mushrooms before placing on the chicken or just place them on the chicken un-cooked?
The recipe doesn’t specifically say to sauté the mushrooms but the photo shows it. I did sauté mine and it was delicious.
Maureen, glad you liked the recipe!
