In August of this year (2016), I've spent 4 amazing days in Maine. Last time I was in Maine was about 15 years ago so I was excited to be back! Without exaggeration, the biggest highlight of my trip was staying in absolutely the best Bed & Breakfast in Maine - Inn at Sunrise Point, in Camden, Maine (or, technically, Lincolnville, Maine)! As you can see in the first couple of photos, it is truly an oceanfront property. And, as the name of the place suggests, it's a great place to watch beautiful sunrises and sunsets! Some people were staying at this inn specifically to watch meteor showers too!
It's a boutique B&B, with only 3 buildings, which is what I loved about this place! If you're looking for a getaway from noise and busy-ness of life - you'll find the quietness and the serenity here! We've stayed in this bed and breakfast during their busiest time (Summer), all the rooms and cottages were occupied, yet it was nice and quiet and only occasionally we met other guests at breakfast time in a relaxing manner. The inn also has a spectacular flower garden.
Inn at Sunrise Point is located only 4.5 miles away from the Main Street in Camden, ME. It's great to stay in such a quaint, quiet place and be only 8 minutes away by car from much more bustling and busier Camden, if you want more adventure.
When you first arrive at the inn, you're met by their beautiful main house and 3 other buildings:
The backside of the inn has oceanfront lawn, chairs, a hammock, and, of course, ocean front views:
Since it's bed and breakfast, lets describe the "bed" part. We have stayed in the Longfellow Suite. It was beautiful. Let the pictures speak for themselves. The living room had ceiling high bookshelves and a nice selection of fun books:

Now, about breakfast. Because it's a boutique B&B, there were never too many people in their main breakfast area, which was great! The Inn at Sunrise Point is owned by a wonderful lady who is originally from the South, and you really feel at home, even in the common areas of this inn. There is a quiet, classical music playing in the background, and each morning they serve you something new and different. Also, while you're having breakfast, they will clean your room and make it look really nice - it's really thoughtful of them to fix your room while you are having breakfast.
Every breakfast starts with the fruit bowl of different kinds of fruit or berries:
One morning we had these wonderful eggs and ham:
Another morning we were served waffles:
Once we brought in our own lobster meat, and asked them to make a lobster omelet, it was delicious:
At each breakfast, we were served warm maple syrup, and Maine is famous for its maple syrup!
Here is a glance into the inn's main common area:

I really enjoyed our stay at this oceanfront B&B: it left me rejuvenated and full of energy!

Hi Julia. I loved your pics, thanks for sharing. My family & I went to Maine this August for the first time, Bar Harbor, & fell in love with the views of the sea from atop the mountains, the incredible sun rises & sets. We took so many pictures & they honestly look like post cards. We can't wait to go back to our new favorite vacation spot.
