Lake Geneva, the Alps, flowers, tulips

I was in Montreux, Switzerland in April 2016 and wrote a post about it: 10 Things To Do in Montreux, Switzerland. I was so impressed with how colorful Montreux was with flowers, I am dedicating a whole post to share the best photos I took. There were especially many tulips, of all different kinds and colors!  Enjoy the photos!

The flowers look especially beautiful with the Lake Geneva and the Alps in the background.

What time in April were you there? I will be traveling through on April 5 on our trip from Zurich to Jungfrau and down to Tuscany. If tulips are blooming in early April, I will make sure to take a walk on this lake.

I was there around April 17th, and the tulips were fully blooming! I love traveling in Europe in April, so you picked a good time.

This is not exactly the garden. These flowers are all along the path right by the lake. I walked from Royal Plaza Montreux (a hotel) all the way to Chateau di Chillon. You can walk right by the water (there is a really nice path right by the lake) - and all these flowers were right by the lake. I was there in April. Enjoy your time in Montreux in July! There is a huge jazz festival there in July!

I just discovered this beautiful gtoup of photos while searching for a shrimp recipe...I hadn’t seen them before...they are lovely!! I once knew a woman in Rochester who also took gorgeous flower pictures...she ordered high end card stock and made the most beautiful, hand made note cards...when you received a note from her, you didn’t want to throw it away!

Thank you, Judy! These flowers were so gorgeous - all blooming alongside the lake. What a beautiful walk it was!
