I can’t get email request to click through!
I need to start cooking healthier meals; where do I start?
A friend and I made your Salted Caramel Cheesecake yesterday. It's gorgeous. I posted it on Facebook. You may see it on my feed "Julie Ekholm"
Looking forward to seeing the recipes in my in box!
To be honest, I’ve stopped clicking on recent emails with “teaser” recipes where there’s no engagement with a photo and brief description. I like surprises, but meal planning and options considered are “premium time” in my life. If I want a rabbit hole approach, then I ask some AI agents to assist with a craving, or pantry/fridge/freezer “what can I do with what I got”…
I miss the glamour picks of your recipes in all of your emails up until a few months ago. Always sparked a discussion here about what to try next.
Sorry to be critical. Have so many of your recipes saved. Just lately feel kind of let down.
Dave, thank you for trusting my recipes so far — and I really appreciate you telling me this! ❤️ I completely understand what you mean.
I do still send my Weekly Meal Plans with full photo galleries for every recipe. The teaser-style emails are really just for brand-new recipes. But I’ll admit, I’ve been so busy creating and publishing new recipes lately that I’ve neglected some of those gallery-style emails I used to send more often, and I've been reserving them for weekly meal plans only.
I’m going to get back to doing more of those! I’m also working on making the website better organized so it’s easier to browse and find recipes without having to go down a rabbit hole. 🙂 I hope you’ll be patient with me and stick around — there are a LOT of good recipes coming, and I promise I haven’t abandoned the pretty food galleries completely! 🙂
And really, thank you for this feedback, because I honestly didn’t realize how much people enjoyed those gallery-style emails. If you’ve been missing them, I’m sure you’re not the only one!
Unlike AI companies (which seem to have limitless resources and budgets), my site is pretty much just me with occasional part-time assistance when I get overwhelmed.
I cannot find the recipes that you post☹️
Hi Carol! Here's my homepage: https://juliasalbum.com
And here's the recipe index (I am working on improving it): https://juliasalbum.com/recipe-index/
I made the pesto orzo pasta tonight. I made the pesto from scratch with my own basil leaves. I added cut off chicken from a rotisserie and it was so delicious. I followed the rest of your recipe to a tee. I fed a family of 3 with it and will have left overs for 2 people tomorrow. It was amazing. I’m full now but want to keep eating it.
Thank you, Erin, for this amazing review! ❤️❤️ I love that you made the pesto with basil from your own garden and added rotisserie chicken. So glad it was such a hit, and even better that you have leftovers for tomorrow! ❤️
Wow this is a family favorite!!! Thanks for sharing. I’m lactose intolerant so I used Lactaid whole milk-no problem bc it is so delicious!!!! Also, I didn’t have tomato sauce so I used diced tomatoes and since it’s a little watery, I added a good tablespoon of tomato paste-my family loved it!!!
Hi Lucy! I am so glad the recipe you tried on my site has become a family favorite! And it sounds like you made some great adjustments to fit your dietary needs! I really appreciate you sharing what worked for you!
Love your recipes!
Thank you, Joy! 🙂 Glad you're following along! 🙂
HELP I do receive your regular emails and have often used your recipes, or at least some variation of them I notice you call out gluten free recipes and no, I do NOT expect you to call out all of those many allergies or issues that currently exist - but could you please take notice when you repeat ingredients in ALL of the recipes of the week.....This current bunch has ( I think I counted correctly) FOURTEEN that have dairy I am sadly on that no-dairy path and while I know I could just ignore the ones where it's a simple garnish or whatever -- it is frustrating when I see how many delicious things you post - and that I cannot have/make !!!
I hear you, Judith! I actually have lots of dairy-free recipes on my site, but this is making me realize I probably need to categorize them better so they’re much easier to find! 🙂
The print function on your recipes is not working, it used to.
Thanks for letting me know, Danna! I’ll look into it. The print function should definitely be working, so hopefully it’s just a temporary glitch.
Can’t subscribe. Asked me over and over again to subscribe but never dies! Waste of my time!!!!!
Hi Mary! I just checked, and you are actually subscribed! It looks like there must be some kind of glitch that keeps showing you the subscription prompt. Sorry about the frustration — I’ll look into it!
I’m just going to make Blueberry & Peach crisp - looks fab
You're gonna love it! It's one of the most popular reader favorites! ❤️

You’re very kind, Cynthia! ❤️ And no cookbook yet, but maybe one of these days! For now, just making my recipes and coming back to the site is plenty of support. ❤️
What an incredibly kind comment, Irene! ❤️ It really means a lot to know you’ve been cooking my recipes for four years and serving them to your family and so many people who come through your home. ❤️ I don’t have a cookbook yet, but comments like this certainly make me think I should. I truly appreciate you taking the time to write this!
