Thank you Vana Belle Resort for sponsoring this post! All opinions are my own.

Thailand luxury resorts, the luxury collection, best resorts in Thailand, where to stay in Thailand, where to eat in Thailand, where to stay in Koh Samui, where to eat in Koh Samui

In my previous post, I shared my experience of staying at a beautiful resort and enjoying a Saturday Brunch at Vana Belle Resort, a Starwood managed property, in Koh Samui, Thailand during our trip to Southeast Asia this year. Another unforgettable experience that I want to share is their Signature High Tea served in a traditional Thai bird cage.

It's only a second time in my life that I had High Tea (the first time was in London, last year), and this time it was presented in an Asian setting since we were, after all, in Thailand. I am very excited to share my experience, especially because the food presented was different from what you normally get at the traditional British style high tea, which makes it only more interesting and more authentic to Thailand.

What is also special is that the afternoon tea is served right next to the beach, so I had a chance to take a short stroll along the beach in between my snacks! The food was really high quality and on the higher end, and it was plentiful!  The service was top notch, staff at Vana Belle is always super friendly and happy to please all guests.

So, let's take a look at what kind of delicacies we had for our Jib Nam Cha - Signature High Tea.

First of all, the presentation was beautiful. As you can see on the photos, the food is presented in a traditional Thai bird cage against amazing views. On the upper shelf of the bird cage are Thai specialties: vegetable spring rolls and small bites of shrimp salad:

as well as other kinds of fresh spring rolls, with meat:

The middle shelf had bites of smoked salmon with caviar

as well as classic English style sandwiches.  Are you salivating yet?

The bottom shelf had delicious variety of traditional desserts, such as chocolate cakes, cheesecake bites, scones, jam, and cream, as well as a selection of Thai desserts, and macaroons.

I love Thai desserts, and mango slices wrapped around the rice cakes were delicious!

The macaroons were beautiful, melt-in-your-mouth, perfectly prepared, with unique flavors.

It was amazing to have the bird cage afternoon tea in Thailand out in the open air, enjoying the beautiful views:

Our afternoon tea at Vana Belle was beautiful, classy, just like everything at the resort. The staff is amazing, you're always greeted with a smile, and everybody is helpful.  This resort is more of a boutique type of resort (especially for Thailand!), so you get a good amount of privacy and secludedness, with beautiful landscaping, and lush greenery everywhere.   All of this makes for a great, luxurious escape in Koh Samui, Thailand!

Thanks for the wonderful photos. That spread sure does look good! Is the afternoon tea complimentary with your stay or did you have to pay for it?

It's all almost too pretty to eat! I could definitely make an exception for those macarons though, they're my favorite
