Ingredients

  • 2 mangos ripe, peeled, pitted, and diced
  • 1 sweet red bell pepper small, diced
  • 1 kiwi fruit peeled and diced
  • 3 green onions finely chopped
  • ½ bunch cilantro chopped
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice or more
  • ¼ teaspoon chili powder or more
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  • Note about mangos. Wash them thoroughly to get rid of any debris. Use ripe mangos. Always peel the mangos. Pit the mangos and dice them into cubes.
  • Peel the kiwi fruit and dice it into cubes.
  • In a large mixing bowl combine diced mangos, diced red bell pepper, diced kiwi fruit, finely chopped green onions, and chopped fresh cilantro. Toss to combine.
  • Add freshly squeezed lime juice and chili powder. Toss to combine. Taste and season with salt and pepper, if needed. Add more lime juice and chili powder, if you like.

Notes

Ways to serve mango salsa:
  • A fruit-based snack with your favorite chips or crackers.
  • Use it just like a regular tomato salsa - as a topping over nachos along with your favorite melted cheese, like Cheddar or Pepper Jack cheese.
  • Use it as a topping over soft cheeses, including goat cheese, cream cheese, burrata, brie, or fresh mozzarella.
  • Serve fresh mango salsa as a topping for grilled meats and seafood.
  • Add it as a topping to tacos, burritos, and your other favorite Mexican foods.
  • Serve it as a topping over pizza.
