Garlic Parmesan Chicken Pasta – a delicious 30-minute creamy pasta with chicken and peas in a simple homemade creamy Alfredo sauce. Topped with seasoned bread crumbs (or stuffing)! Easy weeknight dinner!

This week, I made another delicious, and, more importantly, super easy-to-make weeknight dinner at Better Homes and Gardens – Delish Dish Blog. Everybody at home loved it! What makes this simple recipe special is the bread crumbs, especially if you use seasoned ones (that’s what I did). You can even use a store-bought stuffing mix and grind it in the food processor to get the desired amount of bread crumbs (you don’t need too much stuffing or too many bread crumbs – just enough to top each serving). The recipe is very gluten-free friendly, and I provide gluten-free options in my post.  Below is the gist of the recipe in several step-by-step photos.  You will start by purchasing a 2 pound roasted chicken at the store:

2 pound purchased roasted chicken, cooked chicken, cooked whole chicken

Remove chicken from bones, discard skin and bones; and shred the chicken meat:

shredded chicken - use roasted chicken

Combine shredded chicken with peas and garlic in a pan:

Finally, add half-and-half and the cheese, heat everything up to a boiling point and simmered the pasta in the sauce until the dish was bubbly, and the cheese melted (you might need to add extra cheese). Then, top with bread crumbs (or top individual serving plates with bread crumbs):

Gorgeous creamy chicken pasta dish, Julia! You make the best pasta dishes, I swear. I love that you start with a pre-roasted chicken from the store. This is my “dirty little secret” half the time due to being pressed for time! I don’t know what we would do without our local Whole Foods Market. Their roasted chickens are the best and a total life saver in the kitchen on busy nights! I also love the peas…little bursts of green goodness. 😉 Thanks for sharing, my friend! xo
